![]() ![]() It was a great weekend away and although I slept with the TV on (I couldn't shake the ghost stories). another couple stayed in the Clover room (with a jacuzzi tub) and they warned us that there is no shower, just the tub. especially because I want to try one of the rooms with the jacuzzi tubs. The Farnsworth House ghost tour was great because we started off in the attic of the house and could really get a feel for the what it was like back during the Civil War. Both spots for those ghosts tours were south on Baltimore St (around 5 blocks). one with the Ghosts of Gettysburg and one at the Farnsworth House. We did two ghost tours (I guess we just couldn't get enough). This was awesome because we walked everywhere! The walk that you take out of the Inn to the square was lined with antique shops, cafes and restaurants. If you walked out of the Inn and north on Baltimore St, the downtown square is just a few blocks away. He's full of information and passion about Gettysburg! The house has an open patio on the ground floor but is also adorned with long balconies on the back of the house. I was happy that we still had our own private bathroom and the room size was surprisingly spacious and super clean. Because we booked last minute (we got the last room) we stayed in the Violet Room. He gave us restaurant suggestions, information for parking and ghost tours and was open to answering any and all of our questions. ![]() The grounds were gorgeous and after checking in Mike showed us our room and we quickly got into a conversation about our plans for the weekend. It felt lived in (but not worn out) and warm. The Inn felt like you were going to visit a relative's house. We had never been to Gettysburg before for the weekend and although we were concerned about the last minute plans we were so happy at what was waiting for us! Mike and Becky were wonderful hosts!! I also spoke to Elizabeth to make the reservation and she made things so easy. We decided to take a last minute weekend trip away for our anniversary and after doing some homework. we honestly could not have asked for more. The Gaslight Inn is beautiful place to stay. ![]()
